Slow search and indexing?
Received this note from Salesforce today, haven't heard any complaints from our users.
Some of our customers have been experiencing slower than normal search and indexing lately. We anticipated the effects of the limits that we are currently experiencing and are now in the final phases of implementing a new search architecture that we believe will be a substantial improvement for all users. Customers will enjoy faster searches with no single points of failure. Longer term, we are working on enhancements to our code which will increase the sophistication of our search capabilities. We have also installed additional capacity resources to help alleviate delays.
While prompt deployment is a top priority for our new search architecture, so is testing and quality assurance, which we are conducting right now. We expect new search to be completely rolled during the first quarter. The initial tests have been extremely positive, so we expect full implementation to take place much sooner than that. We remain committed to your success and apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced.
